Dr Walkup is a Northwest Ohio native. Prior to graduating from the prestigious Ohio State University, he attended the University of Toledo. Dr Walkup graduated cum laude from the Ohio State University College of Dentistry. He completed a one year residency at the University of Texas. This optional year in San Antonio, Texas provided him intensive education in general dentistry at the Audie L. Murphy Memorial Veterans Hospital.
Dr. Walkup is a member of the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association and presides on the board of the Toledo Dental Society. He has studied with many of the most renowned dental educators in the country and spends many hours each year pursuing continuing education to stay abreast of the latest dental technologies.
Dr. Walkup and his wife Stephanie have three children. They live in the Maumee, Ohio, area. They are regular members of Monclova Road Church and thank God for the opportunity to care for you. They enjoy spending time with family and friends. They also enjoy boating, swimming, biking and serving others. Shea loves watching college football and basketball.
Dr. Walkup volunteers countless hours annually to Give Kids a Smile which is an annual outreach to provide dental care to those whom otherwise have no means to afford dental care. He also provides exceptional care to Toledo’s homeless population by volunteering at the Mildred Bayer Clinic.
Dr. Hasty is a native of Holland, Ohio and a graduate of the Ohio State University College of Dentistry and the University of Toledo. Prior to joining Shadow Valley Dental Group, Dr. Hasty completed a General Practice Residency at the Medical University of Ohio. Dr Hasty takes pride in staying versed on new developments in the dental field through regular participation in elite training programs. He has completed many advanced courses, including several at the renowned Kois Center, a state-of-the-art dental training facility in Seattle Washington.

Dr. Hasty and his wife, Amanda currently live with their two daughters Brynn and Mia in Maumee, Ohio. Amanda graduated from the University of Toledo Law School in 2011. The Hasty’s enjoy many outdoor activities, reading, watching movies and spending time with family and friends. Dr. Hasty is passionate about the practice of dentistry and truly takes pleasure in getting to know his patients. Kris has been with Shadow Valley Dental Group since 1993. She spent 5 years operating as a chair-side dental assistant until she was promoted to the office manager position. Kris takes pleasure in managing this practice. She feels blessed to work with such amazing people and thinks of our patients as family. She is a Toledo native currently residing in Perrysburg, Ohio, with her husband Jim. They boast three beautiful daughters, the eldest of whom just graduated college and got married. When Kris isn’t at the office she can be found playing softball, volleyball or tennis or working with her handy husband on their home remodel.
Christi has been with the practice for four years now and has become favored by many of our patients. She is a native of Whitehouse, Ohio, and lives there with her husband Scott. Their family includes Lily, the miniature dachshund and two cats Eddie and Marilyn. In the evenings Christi teaches various dance classes at the Daryl Jervis Dance Studio in Sylvania, Ohio.
Kristi grew up in Toledo, Ohio, and is a Central Catholic High School graduate. She has been trained as a dental assistant and joined our practice in 1999. Kristi and her husband are busy with their daughter and identical twin boys, two cocker spaniels and three cats. She enjoys camping, working out, swimming and spending time with family and friends.
Marcia has been assisting the doctors at Shadow Valley Dental Group for more than 10 years. She advanced her training at Case Western Reserve University to become an E. F. D. A. (expanded functions dental assistant). Marcia grew up in Lakewood, Ohio, and has two children. When not at the office you may find Marcia working at the YMCA as a personal trainer.
Lori is from Monclova, Ohio. She has completed formal training as a dental assistant and has been a valued Shadow Valley Dental team member since 1997. She is married with four children and enjoys being outdoors, bike riding, playing tennis and horseback riding on their family horse.
Laura is a graduate of Maumee High School and Florida Community College’s Dental Hygiene program. Laura has been practicing dental hygiene since 1982 and also teaches at Owens Community College as a dental hygiene clinical instructor. She has been with Shadow Valley Dental since 2005. Laura is married with three children and enjoys fishing, walking and camping.
Deb has been a devoted member of the Shadow Valley Dental team since1989. She is a graduate of Owens Community College with an Associate Degree in dental hygiene. Patients are comforted by her gentle touch and friendly nature. She & her husband Jack hail from Curtice, Ohio, and have two children & 2 grandchildren. Deb enjoys reading, watching television and playing volleyball. She is also known around the office as the trivia knowledge queen.
Linda grew up in Walbridge, Ohio, & is a graduate of Owens Community College with an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene. Since 1977 she has worked in general practice dentistry as well as orthodontic & periodontic practices. Linda has been a loyal team member for more than 25 years. Linda also graduated from the Healing Arts Institute in Perrysburg, Ohio in 2002 and holds a license in massage therapy. She has family is Toledo, Arizona and Indiana. She enjoys photography, gardening, theatre, travel and spending time with family and friends.
Erin is a Temperance, Michigan, native and graduated from Bedford High School in 2007. She has been with Shadow Valley Dental Group for 4 years and values our patient family and her coworkers. In her time outside the office she studies in the field of interior design and is an active member of her church.
April has worked with Shadow Valley Dental since 2003. During that time she has excelled as the Hygiene Coordinator and currently holds the Financial Coordinators position. She has become an authority on insurance matters and creative financing for our patients. April grew up in Vermilion, Ohio. She and her husband have one child. She enjoys scrap booking in her spare time.
Kelly is a Temperance, Michigan native. She graduated from Bedford High School where she met her husband Joe. She trained at the Toledo Dental Academy and has been with Shadow Valley Dental Group for almost 2 years. When not in the office Kelly enjoys playing with her new puppy Ammo, taking boxing classes, and spoiling her 13 nieces and nephews.
